What is a Paint protection film?
For protection against paint (PPF, also known as transparent film or paint film), is a thermoplastic urethane. Often self-healing material is applied to the paint surfaces on a brand new or used car to shield the paint from stones, bugs, splatters of bug spray, and minor scratches. It is also used for RVs, aircraft cellphones, electronics screens, motorcycles, and other locations. The film for protecting the paint is OEM accepted by nearly every car manufacturer.
The film protects paint used occasionally by the manufacturers on various parts of automobiles at the factory (e.g., the rear arches on Porsches).
