Car Studios Founded
Car Studios was officially registered as a business in 2019 after years of hands-on experience in car detailing and a strong passion for the automotive industry.
The beginning was humble. The business was operated by a single person using a borrowed lunchroom inside another company’s premises. That small space became the first version of Car Studios — a simple, hardworking studio built with limited resources, but with a very clear vision.
From day one, the goal was never to become just another car wash or quick detailing business. The mission was to raise the standard of vehicle care in Melbourne by helping customers understand how to properly preserve, protect and maintain their cars through education, craftsmanship and honest advice.

December 2019
Manufacturer Training – South Korea
In December 2019, Car Studios travelled directly to South Korea to receive manufacturer training and gain firsthand exposure to ceramic coating technologies, manufacturing processes, research and development, and advanced surface protection systems.
This experience gave Car Studios a much deeper understanding of how professional-grade coatings are designed, tested and produced before they ever reach the market. It also helped us understand that not all ceramic coatings are created equally, and that correct preparation and application are just as important as the product itself.
This direct exposure to coating manufacturers and R&D facilities became one of the foundations behind the Car Studios' approach: understand the technology, understand the surface, and apply the right protection system properly.
This experience gave Car Studios a much deeper understanding of how professional-grade coatings are designed, tested and produced before they ever reach the market. First Commercial Workshop – Dandenong
In May 2020, Car Studios moved into its first dedicated commercial workshop in Dandenong, Victoria.
Operating from a three-bay facility, Car Studios began expanding its professional services to include paint correction, ceramic coating, premium car detailing, and vehicle preservation. This was an important step from a small borrowed space into a proper automotive protection workshop.
The Dandenong workshop allowed Car Studios to refine its processes, improve efficiency, serve more customers and continue building a reputation for honest advice, careful preparation and quality workmanship.

First Genesis Vehicle

Vermont Facility Opened
In March 2022, Car Studios opened its purpose-built Vermont facility, creating a more controlled, professional and secure environment for premium vehicle protection.
The Vermont headquarters features indoor washing, controlled lighting, paint correction areas, dedicated ceramic coating workspaces, PPF preparation areas and secure vehicle storage. This facility allowed Car Studios to further improve the consistency and quality of its work.
One of the major differences at Car Studios is that we do not wash vehicles outdoors. Indoor preparation helps reduce contamination, weather impact and unnecessary risk during the most important stage of the protection process.

Jaguar Concours Success
In November 2022, Car Studios prepared and protected a Jaguar F-Type that went on to achieve Gold Medal success within the Jaguar Car Club of Victoria Concours competition.

In August 2023, Car Studios completed advanced polishing training with RUPES, one of the most respected names in professional paint correction systems.
